Contact us if you experience problems with:

  • Opening a book or chapter
  • A released chapter appearing unavailable
  • Reading progress not saving
  • Bookmarks, highlights, underlines, pins, or notes
  • Journal entries
  • Reader fonts, themes, spacing, margins, or reading modes

Offline Reading

Penbroke may allow released chapters to be downloaded for offline reading.

Before going offline:

  1. Open Penbroke while connected to the internet.
  2. Open the reader menu.
  3. Select Offline Reading.
  4. Download the chapter or available chapters you want to read.
  5. Confirm that the chapter is marked as downloaded.

A chapter that has not been downloaded may be unavailable without an internet connection.

Downloaded chapters are intended only for personal reading inside Penbroke.

Community Help

Penbroke provides tools for thoughtful community discussion.

Use the in-app report tool when you encounter content or conduct that may violate the Penbroke Community Guidelines.

You may also contact support regarding:

  • Harassment or bullying
  • Threats or intimidation
  • Hate or discriminatory conduct
  • Spam or fraudulent activity
  • Impersonation
  • Privacy violations
  • Copyright infringement
  • Inappropriate or unsafe content
  • Problems with reporting or blocking
  • Questions about a moderation decision

When possible, include the relevant book, chapter, question, response, comment, or username.

Do not publicly confront a user when doing so may increase a safety risk. Use the report and block tools instead.

Reporting Content or a User

To report content through Penbroke:

  1. Open the relevant community post, response, comment, or user menu.
  2. Select Report.
  3. Choose the reason that best describes the concern.
  4. Add relevant context when requested.
  5. Submit the report.

Reports should be made honestly. Do not use the reporting system merely because you disagree with another person’s opinion.

The person being reported will not ordinarily be told who submitted the report.

Submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed. Reports are reviewed according to Penbroke’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

Blocking a User

Blocking may limit another user’s ability to interact with you through applicable Penbroke features.

Blocking may not:

  • Remove all of the person’s previous public content
  • Prevent every indirect reference
  • Replace the need to report threatening or prohibited conduct

Use both Block and Report when appropriate.

Account Deletion

You may initiate deletion of your Penbroke account inside the app through:

Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account

You may also use the Delete Your Penbroke Account page on The Curving Point website or email info@thecurvingpoint.com from the address associated with your account.

Deleting the Penbroke app from your device does not automatically delete your Penbroke account.

Account deletion may permanently remove account information, synced reading activity, bookmarks, annotations, notes, journal entries, and community content, subject to limited legal, security, moderation, and fraud-prevention retention requirements.

Questions or requests concerning personal information may be sent to:

info@thecurvingpoint.com

Privacy requests may include:

A copyright complaint should identify:

  • The copyrighted work
  • The content believed to be infringing
  • Where the content appears in Penbroke
  • The rights owner or authorised representative
  • Contact information
  • The basis of the complaint

Permission requests should identify the material, amount, intended use, audience, platform, duration, and whether the use is commercial.

Please review the Penbroke Copyright and Sharing Policy before submitting a request.

Penbroke may allow users to share short quotations through authorised text and image-sharing tools.

Shared quotations must:

  • Be used for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Keep the supplied book, chapter, author, and Penbroke attribution
  • Not reproduce a full chapter or substantial part of a book

Troubleshooting Steps

Before contacting support, try the following:

  1. Confirm that your device is connected to the internet.
  2. Fully close and reopen Penbroke.
  3. Confirm that you are signed into the correct account.
  4. Check whether the chapter has been released.
  5. Confirm that an offline chapter was downloaded before disconnecting.
  6. Restart your device.
  7. Confirm that you are using the latest available Penbroke version.
  8. Try the action again and note any error message displayed.

Do not delete the app while troubleshooting unless you understand that locally stored information may be removed.

Accessibility Support

Penbroke includes features intended to support different reading preferences, including:

  • Adjustable font family and size
  • Line-spacing and margin controls
  • Light and dark reading themes
  • Page-swipe and vertical-scroll reading modes
  • VoiceOver and TalkBack labels

Please include your device, operating-system version, and accessibility setting.

Purchases and Billing

Penbroke may offer paid books, subscriptions, or premium features in the future.

Purchases made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play are processed by the applicable platform.

For billing, renewal, cancellation, or refund matters, you may need to use the purchase-management tools provided by Apple or Google.

Deleting the Penbroke app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

Penbroke will display applicable pricing and renewal information before any purchase is completed.

Service Availability

Penbroke may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance
  • App updates
  • Internet or hosting interruptions
  • Security measures
  • Device compatibility issues
  • Third-party service interruptions
  • Book or chapter release schedules

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, but we will take reasonable steps to maintain and restore the service.

Emergencies and Immediate Safety

Penbroke support is not an emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, or crisis-response service.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate crisis-support provider.

Do not rely on a Penbroke report or support email for urgent emergency assistance.
